Title: Pushing the buttons little by little now
Bio: Tim Sta-Ana is an animator, visual artist and creative technologist at a small studio space in Naarm/Melbourne. They specialise in paintings, sculptures and mixed multimedia with a childlike and whimsical aesthetic. Exploring themes of nativity, vulnerability, desire, community and relationships, using bright colours, bold lines, and surreal imagery.
They have exhibited locally in Australia and internationally in Japan, USA, and Switzerland.
Artwork Statement: This piece is about exploring themes of love and longing. The title of this work is inspired by a translation from the song ‘575’ by Perfume which is written in a haiku and seeks to convey the mixed and complex feelings of love through the seemingly simple.
