Bio: I’ve exhibited my work since the early ‘90s, but I’ve been drawing my whole life. It’s what kept me out of trouble while growing up in the suburbs. My work is driven by contrasts – identity and anonymity, sensitivity and brutality, spirit and form. I want it to reflect the immense power, vulnerability and mystery of being human – while retaining a playful naivety.
Artist Statement: This piece is an outpouring of thoughts in reaction to the ‘void’ of the black card. The white symbols and statements swirl around objects and fragments of anatomy distracting us from the inevitable blackness.
