What are you thankful for? Who are you thankful to?
It has been an honour and privilege to work with City of Greater Bendigo to bring Kaff.eine’s ‘Chapel of Infinite Thanks’ to life. Working with fabricator Dale Holden to create a bespoke travelling chapel.
Running co-currently with Bendigo Pride and invited LGBTQIA+ adults to take part in this collaborative art installation, which celebrates rainbow heroes, icons, identity and cultures.
Inside the chapel houses a growing collection of art; personal stories of queer gratitude and dedication to rainbow heroes, that reflect the daily fears, needs, desires and dreams of the rainbow community. It offers the space to share stories, and creatively express intimate moments of thankfulness .
During the opening weekend of Pride, Bendigo community were then able to add their own personal gratitude stories on the flesh of Kaff.eine’s characters, which will now to be added to the collection.
Welcome to the chapel. Make your mark. Share your infinite thanks.
