Practicing in Melbourne as an interdisciplinary artist, Oli Ruskidd has been developing his creative practice over the last decade, refining a unique style of street-art and large-scale painting. Ruskidd’s artworks depict a sense of hypnotic tessellations and free-flowing psychedelic form. Interested in capturing a sense of the natural world through vibrant colour, his work expresses a dialogue of kinetic energy and organic pattern work. Woven through an abstract style lies a fascination with emulating movement and life in the artwork. By connecting his art to earthly elements and utilising subtle repetitions found in nature, it becomes similar to a living organism. Oli Ruskidd is currently in residence at Redbox Studios, where he is experimenting with 3D printing and Airbrush.
