Title:Someone To Share Your Secrets With

Year Created: 2020

Artist Statement: “Someone to Share Your Secrets With” is an installation produced from salvaged household cardboard and paper, created during lockdown and photographed at home. It’s about relationships and intimacy (two things that have had to change dramatically due to the pandemic) and the many forms relationships can take.”

Artist Bio: Goodie is a Melbourne//Naarm based multidisciplinary artist whose practice incorporates painting, sculpture and the use of salvaged materials to produce installations. By fabricating fictional architectures and objects, or adjusting existing architectures, Goodie considers how spaces reflect, orientate and hold bodies. Recent work explores notions of friendship, ownership, gender and binaries within suburban and urban landscapes. Goodie has exhibited around Australia and overseas, and has collaborated on projects with the Melbourne Fringe Festival, Collingwood Yards, Signal Arts, Juddy Roller, and the Abbotsford Convent.
