Sophi Odling is an Australian artist who paints large-scale murals around the globe. Her work focuses on the beauty amongst the chaos in our everyday lives. Born in Seoul, South Korea, Sophi grew up in Sydney, Australia, where she currently lives and works. In 2005 Sophi received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from UNSW College of Fine Arts, and following more than a decade long career in the fashion industry, Sophi began painting murals in 2017. Since these recent beginnings, her murals can be seen in America, Europe, South East Asia, Central America and Australia.
Sophi presents her work in hope to celebrate the acceptance of cultural diversity, borderless minds and the innocence of youth. Her vivid narratives reflect a diverse array of the human behaviours, environments and cultures that she encounters. Travelling the world, seeing the people, streets and way of life, these are her spectacle. Sophi continues to plan her ongoing travels as a main source of creative and conceptual inspiration. Her work aims to encourage borderless minds, celebrate the acceptance of cultural diversity and to enhance public awareness of our current social and environmental climate.
